What Should I Expect?
Jesus' disciples are known by their love for God and love for one another. The members at Covenant Grace welcome everyone who joins us on a Sunday. During our service, you can expect to hear a lot of the Bible as we sing, read, and preach the Bible. Each week one of the pastors will preach from the Bible as we go through books of the Bible. We exalt Christ and his work as the center of Scripture.
You will also hear us pray. Whether it is one of our members opening the service in prayer, confession of sin after reading the law, or one of the pastors praying for the people, we depend on God and adore God throughout each service. Read this article for more information on our liturgy.
We also observe the Lord's Supper weekly as a means of grace where God gives his grace to strengthen the weak and weary sinner as we spiritually partake of Christ as offered to us in the Supper. We practice what's called a "close" communion. This means that the Lord's Supper is open not only to the members of Covenant Grace but also to all who have received Christ by faith alone as offered in the biblical gospel, have been baptized upon profession of faith, and are members in good standing of a local church. We invite you to speak with one of our pastors if you have any questions about who may partake of the Lord's Supper.
